C
One afternoon, an old man took his cellphone to a repair (修理) shop. He walked up to the technician (技术员) and said, "I have only had this phone for a few months, but it does not receive (接收) calls. If you can't fix it, I would like to buy a new one."
After checking the phone, the technician came back with good news. "Your phone works fine, Sir. I tested it several times. It sends and receives calls perfectly. You have nothing to worry about. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
The old man felt lost and shocked, and then he began to cry. With tears (眼泪) in his eyes, he said, "Are you sure? Then why don't my children call me? It's already been a few months since I got this phone."
The technician was speechless (无言的). The old man looked up and asked, "Do you call your parents?" Again, the technician didn't know what to say.
After listening to the old man, the technician began to feel sorry. With long working hours and the responsibilities (责任) of raising a family, he did not call his parents as often as he should. ▲
"Well, then, you can help me with one thing," said the old man. "Call your parents please. Don't get so busy that they think you have forgotten them." Then, he walked out of the store with his head hanging.

根据“One afternoon, an old man took his cellphone to a repair shop.”和“If you can't fix it, I would like to buy a new one.”
根据“Your phone works fine, Sir.”和“The old man felt lost and shocked, and then he began to cry... ‘Are you sure? Then why don't my children call me?’”
根据“With long working hours and the responsibilities of raising a family, he did not call his parents as often as he should.” 故选 A。
