Plastic pollution has become a serious global problem. Every year, about 8 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans, hurting sea animals and polluting the water. To solve this issue, thousands of teenagers around the world are taking action.
In China, some junior high students organise “clean-up activities” on beaches and in parks every weekend. They collect plastic bottles, bags and other waste, and then send them to recycling centres.
