To learn from a picture book, both the story and pictures are important. Here are some tips to help you when you read a picture book to your children.
1. Talk about the cover(封面) first.
Read the title—the name of the book—first. Look at the picture on the cover. Ask them what they see in the picture. This might help children learn something about the story in the book.
2. Use simple(简单的) language.
If the language of the book is too difficult for your kids, you can tell the story in your own words. And remember that the pictures are always there to help you tell the story.
3. Ask questions about the story.
