Jack and his dad Dale, love outdoor adventures. One cloudy day, they went on a boat trip along the Magellan Strait. The waves were a little loud and huge. Jack was excited and enjoyed his trip in the boat. Dale stood on the beach, taking photos of the exciting journey.
Suddenly, a whale(鲸) jumped out of the water near Jack. Its body was so large. Dale took some photos. When he looked up again, his son Jack disappeared!
The whale took Jack and his boat into his mouth. "Everything was dark," Jack said. "I knew I was in the whale's mouth, and the mouth was closing! I was afraid at that time. " A moment later, the whale opened its mouth and Jack suddenly popped(砰地出现) back up to the surface. Jack was so nervous that he was shaking a lot, but not hurt(受伤).
People near the beach said they didn't often meet this situation. "Whales usually eat small fish, not people. Maybe this whale was just as surprised as Jack. It didn't want to eat him," a scientist said. To protect both people and wildlife, the government told everyone to stay at least 100 metres away from ocean animals.
"It was a scary adventure, but I wasn't angry and now I know whales are friendly," Jack said. "Next time, I'll keep myself away... but I'm happy I'm OK now!"
