印度火车站台学校
In India, many kids can’t go to school, because they need to work at railway stations (火车站) to help their families make money.
But a woman named Inderjit Khurana changed this. Today, there are many train platform schools in India, teaching lots of kids.
These schools are on the train platform. They don’t have buildings. And there aren’t any computers or libraries. So teachers need to bring all books and things to the class. It’s tough to work there, but some teachers are still happy to work for free. They just want to help more kids.
The kids work early in the morning. Then at 8 a.m., they stop working and have classes with their classmates. They learn maths, art and English.
The idea of train platform schools is easy but powerful: if a kid can’t go to school, the school comes to them!
