二、阅读理解(真题·绍兴嵊州)
阅读下面的材料,从各题所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
In a classroom at the Confucius Institute of the University of Granada, Spain, a group of Spanish students are learning martial arts(武术) from their teacher, Zhang Daojin, a kung fu master from Shandong Province.
Zhang has just finished a two-week cultural exchange program in Spain, sharing Chinese kung fu with martial arts lovers from Spain and other European countries through speeches and training lessons.
“Chinese kung fu is much more than a way to get fit,” says Romero, a 43-year-old man who has started his martial arts journey since 15. “It’s been part of my life. I’ve found myself growing stronger, both physically and mentally.”
Alvarez, 45, has studied under Zhang since 2009 and runs a traditional Chinese medicine clinic(诊所) in Granada, Spain. “Kung fu has greatly changed my life,” he says. “It has not only made my body stronger but also improved my spirit and mind.”
“The Spanish students are hard-working and open to different cultures,” Zhang says. “Some have even made the journey to Shandong several times for more kung fu practice. Their love of Chinese kung fu is truly touching.”
As Chinese martial arts is getting more and more popular in Spain, more people are travelling to China for training, and some have even set up martial arts schools in Spain. Zhang has made several trips to Spain and shared his knowledge with thousands of students of all ages. Zhang adds that there are over 100 martial arts schools in Spain, and lots of martial arts lovers travel to China every year. He believes martial arts improves the understanding of cultural exchange and provides a chance for them to learn about Chinese culture.
