What comes to mind when you think of Sweden? Many people might say flatpack furniture(盒装组件式家具), or perhaps meatballs. But for those who care about the planet, Hyllie may well be in their mind. This suburb of Malmö has been a climate-smart place.
Hyllie became a green area not by accident, but by design. Early in its development, Malmö teamed up with E. ON, a large energy company. Over the past 25 years, they have created something impressive together.
E. ON believes that there is no single solution to a city's energy problems. Today, all kinds of energy sources power Hyllie's heating and cooling. Those include biogas(沼气) and food waste, and there is also solar and wind power.
It's not easy to run a city fully on green energy. After all, you can't order the wind to blow or the sun to shine. E. ON came up with the creative "ectogrid" system. It collects and stores energy before sending it to places where it's needed most. One exciting part of the system is its ability to put "waste energy" to good use. Traditionally, heat from places like data centers(数据中心) is wasted. The "ectogrid" system collects the energy and reuses it to warm homes.
E. ON is now ready to bring the system to more places. It's starting with the rest of Malmö. The city plans to run completely on green energy by 2030.
There's so much we can learn from Hyllie. Is there any "waste energy" around you that could be recycled? Could you help to design a system like "ectogrid", or something even better?

答案

由“It's not easy to run a city fully on green energy. After all, you can't order the wind to blow or the sun to shine.”
由“Traditionally, heat from places like data centers ... to warm homes.”
