Lots of teenagers hope to get into good schools and live up to parents' expectations. More than 54 percent of the students said admission to high school or university is the biggest source of their stress, followed by parental expectations(43 percent) and exams(40 percent), according to a new online survey by China Education 30 Forum.
Almost 65 percent of the students said they would turn to their friends for help when under too much stress, and less than 50 percent said they would ask their parents for help. Only 16 percent said they would look for help from teachers and 10 percent from psychological(心理学的) counsellors.
Dr Yang is an expert from the National Education Advisory Committee.
