I am Sam. Today is Friday and it is a big day for our class. We would go on a trip to meet the national football team in our country. How exciting!
We needed to meet at the school gate early this morning. Before we went home from school yesterday, our teacher told us to be on time. "Be here before 7:30 tomorrow morning. If you are late, the school bus will go away without you."
Last night, I could not fall asleep (入睡) until late night because I was so excited. When the alarm clock(闹钟) woke me up this morning, it was 6:30. "It is only a 30-minute bus ride from home to school. I still have a lot of time," I thought. I hit the OFF button(按钮) on the alarm clock and went back to sleep.
Then all of a sudden I woke up. It was almost 7 o'clock! "Oh no! I should be on my bus at this time!" I said. I ran to the bus station. It seemed that the bus would never arrive. There was no taxi either. After waiting at the bus station for ten minutes, I called my parents, and they drove (开车送) me to school. But it was 8:15 when I arrived there. I was late!
What a pity! I missed the chance of a life-time!
