Ⅲ. Read the passage and complete the tasks(根据短文内容完成任务)
The Mystery Job Challenge
Last Monday, Grade 9 students were invited to participate in a special event called the Mystery Job Challenge. Each student received an envelope containing a card with a unique job title they had never heard of before. Some got “Chocolate Taster”, others got “Theme Park Designer”, and a few even got “Professional Game Tester”.
The challenge was simple but exciting: spend a day learning about the job, completing a small task, and sharing your experience with the group. Students had to research the role, try a mini-assignment related to it, and reflect on what skills and qualities were needed.
Liang received the card for “Urban Garden Planner”. He worked with two classmates to design a small garden area using recycled materials. The task was harder than he expected, but it made him realize the importance of creativity, teamwork, and responsibility.
At the end of the day, every student presented what they had learned. They discussed challenges, interesting discoveries, and what surprised them most. Some students found jobs they never considered before, while others reflected on how their interests and strengths could guide their future choices.
The teacher concluded: “A job is more than a title — it’s about the skills you use, the responsibilities you take, and the passion you bring. Exploring new possibilities helps you understand yourself better and prepares you for the future.”
The Mystery Job Challenge reminded everyone that learning about careers can be an adventure, and that curiosity, courage, and reflection are essential for personal growth.

2. Give two examples of the jobs students received.
3. How did Liang feel during the challenge, and what did he learn?
4. According to the teacher, what makes a job meaningful?
5. What is the overall message of the story?
