In the past years,Lin's great services have won the hearts of teachers and students at Peking University",明确说明是他出色的服务赢得了北大师生的喜爱,对应选项C。

C
My family and I were driving to a nearby town when my daughter found a yard sale. We saw old toys and some old clothes for sale. Best of all,we saw lots of smiling people talking, laughing, sitting and standing in the sunshine, which made us stop and have a look.
Seeing all of this brought back memories of my childhood. Most of my clothes back then came from yard sales. My mother was good at shopping in a yard sale. I didn't like going to it until one special day when I saw that they also sold old books there. After that,I always looked through the books until it was time to go and sometimes my mom would buy me one too. I was most excited to see that a large part of my home library came from yard sale books.
Why do we have yard sales? We give up our old things and we buy “new” old things. But it certainly isn't for money. It's that yard sales bring us together. We talk and catch up with old friends and new neighbors. We make friends and get love.
I think yard sales teach us something about life too. We can't really own anything forever, after all. All we get is to have the things for a certain amount of time. Then it is time to let go and pass them on.
8. What made the writer stop and have a look?
A. Old books.
B. Smiling people.
C. Old clothes.
D. Old toys.
9. Why did the writer feel excited?
A. Because her mother was good at yard sales.
B. Because she got lots of books from yard sales.
C. Because most of her clothes came from yard sales.
D. Because the yard sale brought back memories of her childhood.
10. According to the writer, why do people have yard sales?
A. To make money.
B. To give up old things.
C. To get people closer.
D. To make people laugh.
11. What does the writer want to tell us?
A. We can keep things forever.
B. We need to let go and pass things on.
C. We should forget the past and face the future.
D. We can get money from yard sales.

Best of all,we saw lots of smiling people talking, laughing, sitting and standing in the sunshine, which made us stop and have a look.",可知是阳光下说笑的微笑人群让作者一家停下脚步驻足观看,旧玩具、旧衣服只是售卖的普通物品,旧书是后文童年回忆里出现的事物,均不是停下的原因,答案选B。
I was most excited to see that a large part of my home library came from yard sale books.",作者兴奋的原因是自己家中的大部分藏书都来自庭院售卖,对应B选项;母亲擅长逛庭院售卖、衣服大多来自庭院售卖都不是作者感到最兴奋的原因,唤起童年回忆是看到庭院售卖的触发感受,不符合题意,答案选B。
But it certainly isn't for money. It's that yard sales bring us together. We talk and catch up with old friends and new neighbors. We make friends and get love.",作者明确表示庭院售卖不是为了赚钱,核心作用是把大家聚集到一起,拉近人与人之间的距离,放弃旧物品只是表面行为,说笑是场景表现不是办庭院售卖的目的,答案选C。
We can't really own anything forever, after all. All we get is to have the things for a certain amount of time. Then it is time to let go and pass them on.",作者想要传递的核心感悟是我们不可能永远拥有物品,要学会放手,把闲置物品传递下去;A选项和原文表述完全相反,C选项文中没有提及,D选项和原文“庭院售卖不是为了钱”的表述矛盾,答案选B。
