Today was a special day. I went to a village with Qianqian and her family. We took the cat Tom with us. In the morning, the weather was sunny and hot. We visited the nature park in the mountains. It was clean and quiet. There was a big lake in it. Qianqian’s parents went fishing. Qianqian and I rode horses. Qianqian’s horse ran faster than mine, because her horse was stronger and taller. We had great fun!
In the afternoon, the weather became a little windy. We went camping. Qianqian’s dad put up the tent (帐篷) near a tree. Suddenly (突然), I saw a snake in the tree. It had a small head and long body. “A snake!” I shouted, because I was very afraid. Tom saw the snake, too. It jumped over the snake. It was hurt by the tree but the snake ran away. Poor (可怜的) Tom! It was a bad day but also a good day!
