In June 2025, Rongjiang, a lovely place in Guizhou Province, China, was hit by serious floods. Rongjiang, famous for its exciting “Village Super League(村超)”, attracted football fans across the country. But the floods brought big problems.
The floods were caused by days of heavy rain. Rongjiang lies at the meeting point of three rivers. With continuous(连续的) heavy rain, the river water levels rose quickly. The floods came suddenly and strongly. Many houses were flooded, and streets turned into rivers. People had to leave their homes fast to stay safe.
The local government acted quickly. They organized teams to save people, set up temporary shelters(临时避难所), and handed out food and clean water. Many ordinary people also joined the rescue.
