There are different art forms all over the world. Among all traditional Chinese folk arts, paper-cutting is the one that I love most.
People usually make paper-cutting with red paper and scissors. First, they fold the paper into different shapes, and then they cut out beautiful patterns like flowers, animals or Chinese characters with scissors. These works are often stuck on windows or walls during festivals, carrying best wishes for good luck and happiness to people.
For me, paper-cutting is more than just a common form of art. It helps me learn about traditional Chinese culture and the history behind it. Most importantly, it can make the New Year more lively and full of warmth and hope. I sincerely hope this traditional art will live on forever!
