Born in 1995 into a family of Tonghua porcelain(瓷器)craftsmen, Ye Hao naturally fell in love with this art. He has kept practising his skills for over 10 years, bringing new life to it.
Seeing the number of people with the skills to make Tonghua porcelain drop greatly in Chaozhou, Ye felt responsible(有责任)for learning and protecting the art. Ye began learning it in high school, believing that every Tonghua porcelain piece has a life of its own.
During a winter holiday, when Ye was practising carving flowers with his grandpa, his grandpa tried to teach him and laughed at the cracks(裂缝)in the flowers he made. “My grandpa told me that I had no feeling for the craft, but I didn't take it to heart at that time.
