①Great news for pet owners in China! Passengers can now bring certain pets on some high - speed trains. This is a new program by China Railway Express (中铁快运). The move is a first for the country's railway system.
②The service began its test run on April 10. It was first tested on ten trains along the Beijing - Shanghai High - speed Railway, only running between five big stations: Beijing South, Jinan West, Nanjing South, Shanghai Hongqiao and Hangzhou East. ④During the trip, pets are put in special containers in a separate place, away from pet owners. Train workers watch the pets during the trip and check on them every two hours. Water may be provided if needed, but pets cannot be fed during the trip.
