(2024·北京期末改编)Do you know about Make a Difference Day? It is a day of helping others. It began in the US in the 1990s. It is on the fourth Saturday in October. The idea behind it is to ask people to do something good for their neighbourhood. People don't need to spend a lot of time or money on it. It's just doing something to help make someone's life a little better.
There are lots of ways you can make a difference to people you know or even strangers. Cooking a meal or cleaning your room can make a difference at home. You can also make a difference at school by being kind to someone in the playground or helping your classmates with their lessons. What's more，you can make a difference for your neighbourhood by giving your unwanted books，clothes or toys to those who need them or by taking part in a litter pick.
