四、阅读理解(共15小题,每小题2分,满分30分)
A
Come and share your favourite sports!
“Keep moving, keep growing.”
My favourite sport is running. I didn't like it at first. When I was in Grade 7, I often felt tired and weak. My PE teacher told me to try a 10-minute run every day. At first, I wanted to give up because I was out of breath soon. But I kept going, little by little. Now I can run 3 kilometres without stopping. Running helps me stay healthy and clear my mind after long study days. (Tom)
“No one wins alone.”
I love basketball most. I first played it in Grade 8. I was a shy girl and didn't talk much with classmates. Then I joined the school basketball team. Every practice taught me to work with others. When we lost our first game, my teammates didn't blame me. Instead, they encouraged me to keep trying. Now I know no one can win alone. Basketball has not only made me stronger but also more outgoing. (Lisa)

My favourite sport is swimming. My parents taught me to swim when I was 5. At first, I was afraid of water. But slowly, I found it relaxing to move in the pool. When I swim, all my worries go away. Last year, I joined the school swimming club. I even took part in the city's student swimming competition. I didn't win first place, but I felt proud of myself. Swimming has taught me to face my fears and keep practising. (David)
