Cinderella was a beautiful girl. She had two stepsisters. They were not kind to Cinderella. Cinderella did all of the work. She must cook, clean and do everything.
One day, a letter came to the house. It was a letter from the prince. He would have a big party. He would like the three girls to come. The prince wanted to find a wife.
Cinderella couldn't go to the party because she didn't have beautiful clothes. Her stepsisters had beautiful clothes. They were going to the prince's party. Cinderella cried. She also wanted to go to the party. Suddenly, a woman showed up. She was a kind fairy.
“Don’t worry,” said the fairy. “You can go to the prince’s party. I’ll help you. Go to get a pump-kin, six mice and a rat.” Cinderella quickly found them. The fairy waved her wand(魔杖) over the pumpkin. The pumpkin became a beautiful silver coach. The fairy waved her wand over the six mice. She changed them into six strong men. The six men would walk with the coach. Then the fairy changed the rat into a man. He was the driver of the coach. So Cinderella could go to the party.
“But you must leave the party before twelve o’clock,” said the fairy. “At 12:00 the magic will end.” Cinderella got into the coach to go to the party.
The prince’s palace was full of people. All the girls wanted to marry the prince. Then Cinderella walked into the palace. The prince saw Cinderella. He asked her to dance with him. All night long they danced and talked. The prince and Cinderella fell in love. At twelve o’clock, Cinderella ran out of the palace. Cinderella ran and lost one of her glass shoes. She must get home before twelve. The prince found Cinderella’s shoe. “I know this shoe. It is that beautiful girl’s. I’ll find her,” he said. The next morning, he went from house to house to find her. He went to Cinderella’s house. “I have found my princess,” the prince said. Soon Cinderella and the prince got married. They lived happily ever after.
