The ocean is an amazing part of our planet. It covers more than 70% of the earth's surface, making it a huge and important place.
The ocean has different zones. Near the shore, the water is shallow, and sunlight can reach the bottom. Here, colourful coral reefs grow like underwater gardens. Many fish, crabs, and other small sea animals live among the corals. As we go deeper, it gets darker and colder. Some deep-sea creatures have special features. For example, some can make their own light to find food or mates in the dark.
The ocean is also important for our planet in many ways. It helps to control the earth's climate. Ocean currents(洋流) move heat around the world, affecting the weather in different places. Besides, the ocean provides a lot of food for us. We catch fish and other seafood from the ocean.
Sadly, the ocean is facing problems. Pollution from plastic waste and oil spills is harming sea life. We need to protect the ocean to keep it beautiful and healthy for future generations.
