Lei Feng Day is on March 5 in China. As a foreigner, I first learned about Lei Feng after coming to China. That experience is special and I'll always remember it.
One day, I was riding my bicycle down the street and a tyre burst(车胎爆裂). A passer-by saw this and kindly took me to a nearby bike repair shop. When we got there, I thanked him and asked what his name was. He said, "I'm Lei Feng. " Not knowing who Lei Feng was, I said, "Well, thank you, Lei Feng. " He and the others at the bike repair shop all laughed(笑) loudly. I stood there, feeling confused(困惑的). Why were they all laughing?
A few months later, our Chinese teacher told us something about Lei Feng—a hero of small acts of kindness and community spirit(精神). I remembered the man who took me to fix my bicycle. Then it was my turn to laugh.
After this, I begin to learn more about Lei Feng's life. I think his spirit is important. In our daily lives, we should always be ready to lend a hand.
