Do you know Jiuzhai Valley National Park(九寨沟国家公园)? It is in Sichuan Province. I think it is one of the most beautiful natural wonders all over the world.
It is said that long long ago, the god of the mountain named Dage fell in love with the goddess Semo. He gave a special mirror(镜子) to the goddess. The mirror was made from wind and cloud. Semo was happy to get it. But Semo broke(打破) the mirror into 108 pieces by accident(意外地). The pieces fell down to the Earth and then turned into 108 colourful lakes. The lakes are also called haizi by the local people.
The natural forest covers an area of more than 30,000 hectares(公顷). The plants provide a good environment for wild animals. There are many kinds of animals, for example, pandas and monkeys. They make the park more lovely.
Jiuzhai Valley Scenic Area covers more than 600 square kilometres. The sights are far more than you imagined. Panda Sea is famous for the longest waterfall and the Arrow Bamboo Lake has a large area of bamboo, the favourite food of pandas.
The best time to visit Jiuzhai Valley is in autumn, especially(尤其) in September and October.
