Then he visited many places in China. In 1295, he went back to his own country. He became a great bridge-builder between the East and the West, and Chinese people all admired him.
Now here is a film about Marco Polo's journey. The name of the film is In the Footsteps of Marco Polo. Stanley Johnson and his youngest son Max Johnson are the hosts in the film. It was on for the first time in London on 3rd July. They followed Marco Polo's route in China, travelling from China's western border(边界)to Beijing.

Actually, Stanley Johnson began the journey with his friends as early as 1961, but they stopped midway in that attempt(尝试).
"We took the journey as a way to build a bridge between Europe and Asia. It could also bring people from different countries closer," says Stanley Johnson, "It's important today because we have some common problems like air pollution, and we have to work together."
Max Johnson once studied in China. "It's exciting to follow the journey of Marco Polo. It's a wonderful time for me," he says about the film. "Many people say something about China, but they have never been there. It's necessary to go to China and see it for yourself," he says.
