One spring day, while taking a walk around the lake, my daughter and I noticed a lot of trash(垃圾) along the road. So the next day we brought a big trash bag with us and started to pick up the trash along the way slowly, step by step. There were pop cans, plastic water bottles, empty chip bags, and pieces of broken fishing line. We even fished a few pieces of trash from the edge(边) of the water. When we finished our walk, the bag was almost full. We decided we would come back another day to do it again.
Tired but happy, we put the bag in a trash bin. We stopped before we headed back home and took one last look at the lake as the sun set. It looked more beautiful than ever.
