How time flies! How's your school life in Beijing? So many things took place in the past two months. At the beginning of this term, I signed up for a volunteer club. I felt so happy to take part in so many meaningful activities in the club. We danced on the stage for the old people and cleaned the park in our community. I felt so great when I helped others. Besides, I made new friends in the club. I am not shy any more and become more and more outgoing. But my parents don't like it. They think volunteer work takes up too much of my time. They said as a Grade-8 student, I should focus on my studies. They're worried that if I keep doing volunteer work, my grades will go down. They advised me to give up my volunteer work. I know my parents care about me and my studies are important. But I don't want to stop volunteering. I think I can balance study and volunteer work. To be honest, I'm not sure what to do.
