Before we watch our favourite movies on the big screen, we often see amazing posters on cinema walls. These posters need much design work and artistic（艺术的） talent. One of the greatest artists in this field was Drew Struzan.
Struzan passed away on 13 October 2025, at the age of 78. You might not know his name, but you're sure to know his work. Are you a fan of the Harry
Potter movies? That's his artwork on the famous poster. Have you heard of Star Wars and Indiana Jones? That's Struzan again. He designed over 150 movie posters.
Born in 1947, Struzan came from a poor family, and art was his support. "The reason why I love drawing so much today is probably that it was just all I had back then," Struzan said in 1999. He studied design in college and made his way into Hollywood（好莱坞） in the 1970s. This was the start of a new era（时代） in cinema: the age of blockbusters（大片）.
With his use of colour and 'lively imagery（意象）, Struzan's artworks promised people an amazing time at the cinema. When talking about the artist, director Steven Spielberg said that filmmakers（电影制作人） felt they "had to almost live up to" his posters.
Struzan may have left us, but his artworks will keep inspiring artists and movie lovers around the world.
