Practical skills taught by Grandmas
At a school in Southern California, teenagers and their grandmas take part in a program called Learn with Grandmas every Friday. The grandmas taught the children practical skills such as cooking. Huazhong Normal University No. 1 High School held its yearly "Sunshine Charity Sale" this December. At the sale, students' creative products, like DIY paper lamps with campus landmarks(校园地标), were popular. This year marks the 15th year of the "Sunshine Charity Sale". It has drawn over 20,000 students. It won the Hubei Youth League Excellent Project in 2018 and has raised over one million yuan in the past few years. All the money will help poor students at the school and its partner schools.
