Yesterday, my friends and I went on an interesting trip to Jiangxi. Now, we are at the foot of Mount Wugong and we start to climb it at the moment. We are excited and we want to get to the top—Golden Peak. I believe it will be a great experience.
Mia 11:50 | May 25th
We finally arrived at Golden Peak at 18:00. As the sun is dropping down, our tired feelings are gone and it is wonderful. The clouds look like golden cloth pouring down the mountain, and now we understand the name Golden Peak.

Mia 18:35| May 25th
Look! The sun is rising! At the moment, I fully understand the saying, “People who didn’t see a sunrise think the sunset(日落) is beautiful.” I totally agree: Seeing the sunrise at the top of Mount Wugong is an experience that everyone will never forget. It’s so amazing!

Birds are building their nests with rubbish(垃圾)from rivers, parks or streets, says a new study. They use all kinds of rubbish like cigarette butts(烟头), fishing nets(网)and plastic(塑料)bags.
A group of scientists have looked into about 35,000 studies on bird nests. They find that birds are using man-made things in their nests almost everywhere on the earth.
Some rubbish seems to be helpful. This is why birds “like” putting them in their nests. For example, cigarette butts have some chemicals(化学物质), so they can keep something bad away and are good for the baby birds. Fishing nets are useful in keeping the animals' nests strong, and other hard things, such as paper cards, can make nests stronger.
However, in the end, human rubbish may only bring more danger to birds. The chemicals in cigarettes are bad for baby birds. They may become uncomfortable or even have shorter lives.
What's worse, if the cigarette still has fire when the bird brings it back to its home, it may set fire to the nest. Pieces of fishing net may also trap(困住)birds, and it's impossible for them to get out by themselves. If the baby birds eat other kinds of rubbish nest without knowing it, they will also get ill or die. It seems that human rubbish brings our friends in the air a lot of bad things. To protect them better, what can humans do?

4. 细节理解题:根据原文第一段“They use all kinds of rubbish like cigarette butts, fishing nets and plastic bags.”可知,鸟类筑巢用的垃圾包括烟头、渔网、塑料袋,对应②③④,故选B。
5. 细节理解题:A项与原文“human rubbish may only bring more danger to birds”不符;B项由“the baby birds eat other kinds of rubbish nest without knowing it, they will also get ill or die”可推断,鸟类不知道垃圾的危险,正确;C项原文未提及用垃圾喂宝宝,错误;D项原文未说垃圾能保持鸟巢干净,错误,故选B。
6. 推理判断题:最后一段结尾提出“what can humans do?”的问题,下文应围绕人类该采取的保护措施展开,对应D选项,故选D。
7. 题材判断题:文章围绕鸟类与人类垃圾的关系展开,属于自然类内容,最可能出自杂志的Nature板块,故选C。
