近些年人们一直在提倡节能减排,那么在我们的日常生活中如何做到节约能源、保护资源呢?

Turn on the TV. Turn the heating up. Go for a ride in the car. What do all these actions have in common? They all use energy. Energy is important part of our lives. So how can we save energy?
First, use less electricity. Don't watch too much TV and turn off the lights as you go out.
Next, reduce the use of natural gas that keeps your home warm on cold nights when it isn't that cold. Energy is helpful to our lives. Most of the energy we use comes from fossil fuels(化石燃料)—coal, oil, and natural gas. These fossil fuels were formed from plants and animals that died millions of years ago. Fossil fuels have many uses. Power plants burn coal and oil to generate electricity. Fuels for most cars, planes, trains and ships come from oil. Oil and natural gas provide heat for homes. In many ways, fossil fuels are excellent sources of energy.
However, fossil fuels, especially coal and oil, will produce a lot of gases and pollute the environment. Therefore, wind energy and solar energy have been widely used in recent years. These new energy sources are friendly to the environment.
