Table manners are important in both China and western countries(西方国家). Parents often teach us table manners when we are young. Here are some easy rules to follow.
Before eating, we should wash our hands and wait for everyone to sit down. If we need a bowl or a spoon, we can say, "Can you please pass me a bowl/spoon?" Don't chew(咀嚼) food with our mouths open or talk with food in our mouths.
People in different countries eat with different tableware(餐具). Chinese people usually use chopsticks to have meals. Chopsticks are two long thin sticks(木棍). Never stick(插) the chopsticks upright(直立的) in the rice. And don't point chopsticks at others. It's impolite. Western people eat with a knife and fork. They hold the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand. Remember, don't play with the knife or fork because it's dangerous(危险的).

根据短文第二段第一句“Before eating, we should wash our hands and wait for everyone to sit down”,可知饭前要等其他人坐下,对应选项C;A选项“洗脸”未提及,B选项“递碗”是吃饭时的请求,均排除。2. 短文第三段提到“Never stick the chopsticks upright in the rice. And don't point chopsticks at others. 3. 逐一核对选项:A选项与短文第二段“Don't chew food with our mouths open”相悖;B选项与短文第三段“Chinese people usually use chopsticks to have meals”相悖;C选项与短文第三段最后一句“Remember, don't play with the knife or fork because it's dangerous”一致,故选C。
