We spend most of our time with our friends. What kind of people are welcomed by others then? These days, Teenagers' World Magazine asked students in No.1 Middle School about what was the most important to be a friend. It listed some traits (特征) of friends for them to choose and here are the results.
Firstly, twenty-nine per cent of the students think being happy is the most important. Everybody wants to be happy, and nobody wants to spend their time with an unhappy person. If we are with a happy person, we are more probably to be happy too.
Next, forty-one per cent have a different answer to the question. They think when getting into trouble or having some difficulties, we want our friends to reach for our hands to help us. We are not good friends if we don't give a hand to our friends when they need help. When we need help, they will be there for us too. So it's always good to be helpful.
Lastly, some of them think giving encouragement to friends is a better trait than others, because sometimes in our lives we meet failure, sadness, problems and other bad things. We need someone there to always encourage us and cheer us up.
We find that it feels much better if people want to be our friends because of our traits. So if we want to make friends more easily, we'd better have these excellent traits.
