Since many wonders(奇观) in the universe cannot be seen clearly by our eyes, our teacher provided us with a telescope(望远镜) to make our experience better. After we learned how to use it, I soon saw the planets and the stars. Through the telescope, they looked amazing, shining brightly in the night sky.
The moon and Mars, however, made me learn something different. In the past, I thought the moon was a bright ball of rock. However, there were many holes and dark places on its surface as well. As I looked at Mars through the telescope, it looked almost red! I didn't understand it until I saw the ground on Mars covered with red dust. At the time, I was deeply lost in surprise.
Although it was a pity that some clouds stopped our stargazing(观星) event, the activity offered us a look into the universe. It was far more wonderful than we had ever imagined. Before this, we had thought stargazing was too difficult and far away from our everyday lives, but that night changed everything. We were introduced to a new world full of wonders in the universe.
Now I can't wait to learn the mysteries of the universe and discover what lies beyond the stars.
