Wang Zhenyi was a great woman scientist in the Qing Dynasty. At that time, girls couldn’t go to school. But her father encouraged(鼓励) her to read books. She became interested in astronomy(天文学). She spent very many nights studying it by candlelight. At last, she found out when the eclipses(日食;月食) of the Sun and the Moon would happen.

Lin Qiaozhi was a great doctor. When she was 18, she chose to study medicine. She worked hardest among her classmates. Lin spent her whole life helping her patients(病人). She made sure that about 50,000 babies were safely born. People call her the “mother of ten thousand babies”.
Wang Haoze is the third Chinese woman taikonaut in space after Liu Yang and Wang Yaping. She likes to try new things. One day, she heard about the selection(选拔) of taikonauts and decided to have a try. About 2,500 people took part in it. Wang passed all the tests. She became the only woman among the 18 taikonauts. From then on, Wang faced many new challenges(挑战). One test was that she couldn’t sleep for 72 hours. However, nothing could make her give up. Her dream came true!
