One day, my new master Squire Gordon goes on a long journey with his groom(马夫) John, and I pull the cart(马车). It's rainy and windy, but we travel happily until we come to an old wooden .

"There may be something wrong, Sir," says John. He gets out and tries to lead me forward. "Come on, Beauty," he says. But I know that the bridge is not and I still stop dead.
Just then the man of the tollgate sees . "Hey there! Stop!" he cries. "?" shouts the Squire.
"The bridge is broken," he answers. "If you go, you'll all in the ." "Thank God!" says the Squire. "Thank God!" says John.
"No, you should thank your . He saves all of you!" says the man.
When we return(to) , the Squire tells Mrs Gordon what happens(发生) to us. That night I get some good food to eat. I also get a comfortable place to because I am very tired. Then I start my happy autumn here.
