Children like playing in the giant's garden. It is a lovely big garden. There is green grass and beautiful flowers everywhere. There are twelve peach trees. The birds are singing in the tree. But children have never seen the giant. Actually, the giant has been visiting his friends for many years.
On a cold winter day, the giant comes back. He sees the children playing in his garden. He is angry, and drives the children out. He goes to his garden every day, and children are afraid to go there. When spring is coming, the giant's garden is still like winter. The giant feels cold and stays in his room. The children do not see the giant, so they come to the giant's garden to play again. The giant hears the noise and rushes to the garden.
He is surprised to find that his garden looks like spring. Flowers are in bloom and trees turn green. He is happy and allows children to play in his garden. They become friends.
