Ⅱ.阅读短文,根据短文内容回答下列问题
Greatness comes out of the ordinary. The TV series Medal of the Republic(《功勋》) shows this saying. It tells stories about the first group of eight recipients（获得者）of the Medal of the Republic, China’s highest honour for those who have made great contributions to the country’s development.
They include the “father of hybrid rice” Yuan Longping, pharmacologist(药理学家) Tu Youyou, combat(战斗) heroes Li Yannian and Zhang Fuqing, nuclear physicist(核物理学家) Yu Min, farmer Shen Jilan, satellite(卫星) expert Sun Jiadong and nuclear submarine(核潜艇) designer Huang Xuhua.
“Compared to most biopics（传记片）that try to tell the whole life of heroes, this series focuses on the proudest personal moments,” the series’ chief director told Xinhua. “Their achievements explain why they deserve the honour.”
For example, the story about Shen Jilan tells people her efforts to fight for women’s labour rights and “same pay for same work” between men and women.
“They are all common people who became great. They made great achievements through working tirelessly. And they have made great contributions to the people and the country,” the director told Xinhua.
1. Why can they get the Medal of the Republic, the highest honour in China?
2. What does Huang Xuhua do?
3. What does the TV series Medal of the Republic focus on?
