Turning an Iron Stick into a Needle
Long ago, there was a boy named Li Bai. He hated studying and often ran away from school.
One sunny day, he saw an old woman by a river. She was rubbing a thick iron stick against a big stone.
“Why are you doing that?” Li Bai asked.
“I’m making a needle for sewing clothes,” she answered, still rubbing the stick.
Li Bai laughed, “But this stick is so thick! How long will it take?”
The woman smiled, “If I work every day, the stick will get thinner. Water drops can break a stone!”
Suddenly, Li Bai understood. He ran back to school and studied hard every day. When he grew up, he became China’s most famous poet.
Keep trying, and impossible things can happen!
