2026年作业本浙江教育出版社九年级英语上册外研版第79页答案
B
This year, my school held its 56th Art Fair, the biggest and most exciting event of the year. Students, parents, teachers, and even alumni(校友) from years ago came to the campus to enjoy a day filled with art, creativity, and delicious food. At the past two fairs, I was both an artist and a performer—I showed my paintings and played the guitar on stage. But this time, I volunteered for Repentino, a school club that publishes students’ art and writing in a magazine.
Like many other clubs, we ran a food stall to raise money for our activities. We needed funds to print our next magazine, so a hot dog stand seemed like a good idea. It sounded simple, but we knew we had to work hard.
One of our club officers had an advantage: her dad works for a well-known hot dog company. Thanks to him, she brought a sausage machine, a bun warmer(面包保温器), and plenty of fresh sausages. The rest of us prepared soft buns, butter, mustard, ketchup, and spicy sauces for those who liked heat. We priced each hot dog at 120 Mexican pesos (about 47 yuan) and hoped it would be popular.
At first, business was slow—we only sold 15 hot dogs in the first hour. We worried a little, but things got busy at lunchtime. Hungry visitors lined up, and we could barely keep up. We divided the work: one prepared buns, another cooked sausages and made hot dogs, and someone else took orders and gave change. We quickly got the hang of it. By day’s end, we’d sold over 300 hot dogs and made around 35,000 pesos, not counting ingredients.
This experience was tiring but rewarding. We raised more money than any other club, and I felt proud of our team. It was a great day, and I hope we can do it again next year.
