On April 19, 2025, Beijing held the world's first half-marathon (21 km) for humanoid robots(人形机器人). This special event showed China's leading role in robot technology. Twenty robots joined in, but only six finished. The winner, “Tiangong”, was 1.8 metres tall and finished in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
