A stranger (陌生人) started a fun new activity. He left little ducks around the city.
Soon the activity became much bigger. JJ Cerillo often walked dogs. She liked the idea. And she helped make it a big community activity. The rule is: take a duck, leave a duck.
Now Cerillo jokingly (开玩笑地) says she is the “duck librarian”. She takes care of small boxes full of colourful little ducks. These boxes are in different parts of the city.
The activity became popular after Cerillo saw the stranger leave a duck on a railing. *Cerillo asked if she could join, and the stranger said yes. Soon the stranger made the first duck library—a small box on a pole.
Cerillo saw many kids around it in Chelsea. They took the little ducks happily.
