Many people think sharks are one of the most dangerous animals in the world. But according to a report, humans bring greater danger to sharks than they do to us. Shark attacks(攻击) do happen, however, they are not very often. However, every hour, humans kill about 11,000 sharks! Now we should take action to stop many kinds of sharks from dying out.
Why should we save sharks? Because killing sharks is a problem for the world. Sharks are on the top of the food chain(食物链). They eat other species(物种), but few species eat them. If sharks die out, there will be more other species. Then other species will have less food to eat. So how can we help save sharks?
Don't use shark products(产品). Pet foods, drinks and leather products can be made from sharks. People hunt sharks mainly for their fins(鳍). People use them to make shark fin soup. Fishermen often cut the shark's fins off and then drop the sharks back into the water before they die. Sharks breathe(呼吸) by swimming. So if sharks can't swim with their fins, they will die.
Many people try to protect sharks. They give us advice on how to keep them alive. No buying, no killing! Maybe that is the best way to save sharks.
