The world's biggest rabbit
Rabbits are small and cute, right? Think again. Meet Darius, the biggest rabbit in the world. He is about 1.3 metres long and weighs 22 kg. He is the same size as a five-year-old child!
His owner (主人), Ann, can't believe (相信) that he is now the biggest rabbit in the world. "He grew so quickly! He is bigger than most dogs now." says Ann.
Darius eats carrots, apples and rabbit food. He likes carrots best. He eats 12 carrots a day — that is more than 4,000 carrots a year. Ann says, "Darius can't stop eating. He always wants more carrots!" Can you guess how much it costs (花费) to feed Darius? About 2,000 yuan a month!
Darius is friendly. He likes sitting on the sofa with Ann. They watch TV together. He is lovely too. His fur is soft. Lots of rabbits are shy (害羞的), but Darius isn't. He likes meeting people and people like meeting him.
Darius can't live in a rabbit cage because he is too big. He sleeps on a dog bed next to Ann's bed. They are very good friends.
