Exchange Rubbish for Gifts — A Green Activity in Dunhuang

Wang Keshou, one of the cleaners, finds his work much easier now that so many visitors help pick up rubbish. “This has largely helped with my work,” he says with a smile.
Mrs. Yang, a visitor from Tianjin, had a wonderful time at the scenic spot with her young child. Her child was very excited to pick up rubbish and get gifts. She thinks the activity is very meaningful and educational. “It teaches children that they should not throw rubbish everywhere. Rubbish should be put in the right place. Everyone should take action to protect the environment,” she says.
