Mount Taishan, the leader of the Five Sacred Mountains(五岳), lies in the center of Shandong Province. It lies across the cities of Tai'an, Jinan and Zibo. Its main peak(about 1,545 meters high), the Jade Emperor Peak, is in Tai'an City.
