2026年轻松作业本九年级英语上册译林版第51页答案
五、阅读理解。
(盐城期中)Shao Rupeng, a young teacher in Shanghai, has already made a name for himself in the world of joinery(细木工). At just 20 years old, he won China’s first gold medal in joinery at the World Skills Competition Special Edition. At 22 years old, he was named the youngest “Shanghai Craftsman(工匠)”.
Shao’s journey of woodworking began in childhood. He enjoyed watching woodworkers make furniture out of wood and learned to build things himself. In 2018, he began studying at Shanghai City Science and Technology School. There, he discovered his talent for woodworking and joined his school’s woodworking club. After six months of basic training, Shao stood out among 35 club members and was chosen for the school team for the World Skills Competition. Then his training became much harder, as he practised from 8 a. m. to 9 p. m., six days a week, with no breaks during holidays. He also learned to use many more tools, from just a few simple ones to hundreds. Luckily, he picked up lots of skills to meet the increasingly high standards.
However, the road to the gold was not easy. In the competition, Shao faced some unexpected challenges. For example, the final task was completely different from what he had practised. However, his hard work and ability to adjust helped him complete the task beautifully.
Now as a teacher, Shao passes on his knowledge to his students and teaches them to balance modern technology with creativity. “For craftsmanship, creating with your hands as well as hearts matters,” he said. “If you only dream and never take action, you’ll achieve nothing.”
