A部分:
Stephen Hawking is one of the most famous scientists in the world",同时文中明确说明"He also wrote many books",说明他既是著名科学家也是作家,因此选C。
He had to live on a wheelchair because he had an illness",可知霍金需要依靠轮椅行动,选B。
Hawking slowly lost the use of his arms and legs",说明他逐渐失去了手臂和腿的行动能力,因此paralyzed的含义是无法移动、瘫痪,对应选项A。
He thought university was boring and he did not work very hard",可知他大学不努力是因为觉得大学很无聊、没趣味,对应选项C。
Hawking lived his life bravely. He said he was lucky to be alive"表述一致;B选项他小时候就不能说话,和原文"In 1985 he could not speak after an illness"矛盾,他是成年后生病才失去说话能力的,该选项错误;C选项他小时候可以做运动,和原文"When he was a child, he liked horse-riding"表述一致。
