2026年作业本浙江教育出版社八年级英语上册人教版第82页答案
C
While cleaning my desk, an old photo fell out of my diary. In the picture, Mum and I were laughing over a bowl of blackened scrambled eggs(炒蛋). It brought back memories of that special morning five years ago.
It was my mother’s birthday, and I decided to surprise her with home-made scrambled eggs. I woke up really early and tip-toed to the kitchen excitedly. I had never cooked anything before, but I’d watched her many times. “Crack(砸开)the eggs, stir gently, keep the heat low ...” I repeated in my head. So I tried to crack the eggs like Mum always did, but bits of shell fell into the bowl. “It’s okay,” I said to myself, picking out the pieces. Butter spat in the pan as I poured in the eggs.
But something went wrong. The eggs stuck to the pan, turning darker and darker. Soon, smoke rose from the pan, making my eyes water, and my heart sank.
“What’s my little chef cooking so early?” Mum’s voice surprised me from behind.
I turned around with a red face. “Happy birthday, Mum!” I pointed to the mess, “I ... I wanted to make you breakfast, but ...”
Mum looked at the blackened eggs in the pan, and suddenly laughed. “Well, they’re certainly ... the most special!”
“But they’re burnt,” I said sadly.
She grabbed a fork and took a brave bite. “Mmm ... a little crispy, but these are the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had.”
“Why?” I asked, surprised.

“Because they were made with a special ingredient,” Mum said, smiling, and she pulled me into a hug. “The best gift isn’t perfect food—
it's your love
▲. And nothing made with this much love could ever be ruined(破坏).”
We ended up enjoying every last bite together. That afternoon, Mum taught me her secret to making perfect scrambled eggs—low heat, continual stirring, and taking them off just before they looked done.
Now, as I prepare breakfast for Mum’s 45th birthday, the eggs in the pan are golden and soft. But I know the most important thing isn’t perfect eggs—it’s the love that goes into making them.
