Little New Year (Xiaonian) is usually one week before the lunar New Year. It is also called the Festival of the Kitchen God(灶神节). Here are some customs(习俗).

Offering sacrifices to Kitchen God(祭祀灶神)
People burn(烧) a paper image of the Kitchen God. After that, people put up a new paper image of the Kitchen God. People also give the Kitchen God lots of nice food, including fish, fruit, dumplings and Guandong candy.
