These years more and more natural disasters such as floods, droughts, earthquakes and rainstorms are happening around us. The disasters have killed thousands of people and destroyed thousands of homes and a lot of rich land.
Why? Now we understand that many disasters have much to do with what we do toward the earth. We often cut down too many trees in the forests, badly pollute the environment, exploit(开采) and waste too many resources of the earth. As a result, climate isn't normal and natural disasters take place often and easily.
The earth is our only home. So we must stop damaging it. To protect it is just to make ourselves live on, for we have nowhere to go except where we are now. But another more serious problem is when a disaster comes, how should we protect ourselves? Here is some useful advice.
First of all, in your daily life you can watch TV or search for information from the Internet. This will give you full knowledge about how to save yourself in some natural disasters.
Second, you should think carefully and decide to buy something useful for yourself. These things may be helpful when you are in danger because of a disaster.
Third, after you get some knowledge about how to protect yourself in a disaster, you should try to practise. As we know, actions speak louder than words. You can't save yourself unless you know how to use the knowledge very well.
Last but not least, when everyone on the earth always does their best to protect the earth, there will be fewer natural disasters and we can also live on the earth safely.
