2026年亮点给力大试卷九年级英语上册译林版第203页答案
C
It was Saturday morning. I moved my cart(餐车) around table after table of hungry customers. “Char siu bao, yummy baozi!” I called out. It wasn't long before I handed out the last dish. And it was time to enjoy some of my grandma's cooking. Just at that time, I noticed something strange. Our bin was knocked over!

“How could it have fallen?” I wondered. Rubbish and half-eaten baozi littered the ground.
Could it have been the wind? As we cleaned up, I looked at the darkening sky. A storm was coming our way, but the tree leaves were hardly moving. So what had caused the bin to fall over? I found three heavy stones and placed them on top of the bin. “Let's see if it will still fall over,” I said to myself.
KABOOM! I awoke early the next morning. I thought it must be a storm. But when I looked out of my window, I found the bin overturned(翻过来) again!
“Why does this keep happening?” I complained as it started to rain. That's when I noticed two yellow eyes staring back at me. I jumped out of bed and raced after it.
“So you're the one that keeps leaving messes for us to clean up!” I said, finally understanding.
I watched as the cat was trying to get the half-eaten baozi inside. Cats aren't supposed to eat baozi, because garlic could be harmful to cats.
I carefully walked toward him when there was suddenly a loud KABOOM above us. This time, it really was the storm. The cat jumped back into the bin. He was too scared to come out of his new hiding place. Luckily, I had an idea.
I went back to the kitchen to get a few things. Then I slowly made my way to the garage(车库) beside the bin and placed the blanket on the floor. Sure enough, the cat followed me inside, happy to be out of the rain. Then I took out the can of cat food and poured some into a bowl.
It wasn't long before Grandma appeared. “Ashley, what are you—wait, is that a cat?”
“Grandma, meet my new friend. He loves the smell of your cooking,” I said.
Grandma laughed, “Well, it looks like I need to include some cat-friendly baozi on the menu.”
“If you do, I think we know who will be first to get up every morning!” I said. The cat “meowed” at me, agreeing with the idea.
